Since 2020 the Panama Riverside Friends Society have presented the celebration of Matariki in an annual gathering at the Tamaki rowing club, Auckland.

 

Each year, we come together to honour the Māori New Year, reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look forward with hope to the future.

​

Matariki is a special time to strengthen connections with whānau, friends, and neighbours through shared stories, food, culture, and community. We invite you to explore the memories, photos, and highlights from our celebrations, and to join us as we continue this meaningful tradition together.
